Long Leaseholder Services & Enfranchisement
- Right to Manage (RTM): Guiding leaseholders through the statutory process to take control of their building’s management and making applications in the First Tier Tribunal to obtain a right to manage where a Landlord contests.
- Collective Enfranchisement: Advising groups of leaseholders on the legal right to compel the freeholder to sell the freehold.
- Service Charge Disputes: Challenging unfair or unreasonable service charges, and defending leaseholders against debt recovery actions. We also act for RTM companies in bringing such claims against Leaseholders.
- Section 103 CLRA Claims: Pursuing freeholders for shortfalls in RTM company financial accounts under Section 103 of the Commonhold and Leasehold Reform Act.
- Uncommitted Service Charges: Forcing former landlords to pay over all uncommitted service charge monies collected prior to the RTM company taking over via the First Tier Tribunal where we seek a determination of the uncommitted sums.
